The Indoor Starter Bundle is a collection of warm-season crops that benefit most from being started indoors — giving you a longer, more productive growing season by getting a jump on spring.

Eggplant, peppers, tomatoes, watermelon, melon, and zucchini are all included — varieties that need 6–10 weeks of indoor growing time before transplanting to reach their full potential.

Start strong. This bundle sets you up for a more abundant summer by giving your plants the head start they need.

Indoor Starter Seed Bundle Growing Guide

Bella Garden Seeds Growing guides are based on details provided by our botanist to answer your questions and set you up for success. If you have additional questions, email us at hello@bellagardenseeds.com to get the help you need.

🌱 Getting Started

Start seeds indoors 6–10 weeks before your last expected frost date. Use seed starting mix in small cells or containers. Keep soil moist and maintain temperatures of 70–80°F for best germination. Peppers and eggplant are the slowest germinators — start these first. Tomatoes and zucchini germinate in 5–10 days.

☀️ Sun Requirements

Seedlings need bright light to grow strong and compact. Place near a south-facing window or use a grow light 2–3 inches above seedlings for 14–16 hours per day. Insufficient light leads to leggy, weak seedlings that struggle after transplanting.

💧 Watering Seedlings

Water seedlings carefully — they are more sensitive to overwatering than mature plants. Keep soil evenly moist but never soggy. Water from below by placing trays in water and allowing soil to absorb moisture, then drain.

🌿 Hardening Off

Before transplanting, harden off seedlings over 7–10 days by gradually introducing them to outdoor conditions. Start with 1–2 hours of outdoor time in a sheltered spot and increase daily. This prevents transplant shock and builds stronger plants.

✂️ Transplanting

Transplant outdoors after your last frost date when nighttime temperatures stay above 50°F. Transplant on a cloudy day or in the evening to reduce stress. Water well immediately after planting and keep soil consistently moist for the first two weeks.
