🌱 Getting Started

This bundle celebrates corn, beans, tomatoes, peppers, and zucchini which all originate from the Americas.

All are warm-season crops. Direct sow corn and beans outdoors after your last frost.

Start tomatoes and peppers indoors 6–8 weeks early and transplant out when nights stay above 50°F.

☀️ Sun Requirements

All five crops in this bundle need 6–8 hours of full sun per day minimum.

Corn in particular needs as much sun as possible for strong stalk development and proper ear formation.

💧 Watering

Water consistently throughout the season.

Corn needs regular watering, especially during tasseling.

Tomatoes and peppers prefer deep, infrequent watering.

Zucchini is drought-tolerant once established but produces best with steady moisture.

✂️ Harvesting

Pick beans when pods are firm and snap cleanly.

Harvest zucchini when fruits are 6–8 inches for the best flavor.

Corn is ready when the silk turns brown and kernels are plump.

Tomatoes and peppers should be harvested as they ripen for continued production.

🧺 Storing Your Harvest

Beans keep in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Zucchini stores in the fridge for 5–7 days.

Tomatoes and peppers store best at room temperature.

Corn is sweetest within hours of picking. Refrigerate immediately if not using right away.
