Pepper Lovers Seed Bundle Growing Guide

Bella Garden Seeds Growing guides are based on details provided by our botanist to answer your questions and set you up for success. If you have additional questions, email us at hello@bellagardenseeds.com to get the help you need.

🌱 Getting Started

Peppers are the star of this bundle and they love warmth.

Start pepper seeds indoors 8–10 weeks before your last frost date for the best results.

Transplant outdoors when nighttime temperatures are consistently above 55°F.

The companion herbs and greens in this bundle can be direct sown outdoors in spring.

☀️ Sun Requirements

Peppers need at least 6–8 hours of full sun per day to develop their best flavor and highest yields.

The herbs in this bundle, including basil, dill, and parsley, also prefer full sun but can tolerate a bit of afternoon shade.

💧 Watering

Water peppers consistently because they are sensitive to drought stress and can drop flowers if the soil dries out.

Water deeply at the base of plants and avoid wetting leaves.

Herbs prefer to dry slightly between waterings.

✂️ Harvesting

All peppers can be harvested green for a sharper flavor or left to ripen to their final color (red, yellow, or orange) for a sweeter taste.

Pick frequently to keep plants producing all season.

Harvest herbs by snipping from the top to keep them full and bushy.

🧺 Storing Your Harvest

Fresh peppers store at room temperature for a few days or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Peppers freeze exceptionally well. Slice and freeze for easy use all winter.

Fresh herbs keep in the fridge wrapped in a damp paper towel for up to a week.

San Marzano Tomatoes

This was my first time growing tomatoes and these grew well. The growing guide was really helpful. Making sauce with my own tomatoes felt like a big deal.
