Pick and Eat Seed Bundle Growing Guide

Bella Garden Seeds Growing guides are based on details provided by our botanist to answer your questions and set you up for success. If you have additional questions, email us at hello@bellagardenseeds.com to get the help you need.

🌱 Getting Started

This bundle is full of crops you can walk out to the garden and eat on the spot.

Most varieties are easy to direct sow outdoors in spring.

Tomatoes and peppers benefit from being started indoors 6–8 weeks before your last frost for earlier harvests.

☀️ Sun Requirements

A sunny spot is key for a productive pick-and-eat garden. Aim for at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily.

Lettuce, snap peas, and arugula are the most shade-tolerant options if your space has limitations.

💧 Watering

Consistent watering keeps snacking crops at their best.

Dry conditions make cucumbers bitter, lettuce tough, and snap peas starchy.

Check soil every 2–3 days and water deeply when the top inch feels dry.

✂️ Harvesting

The whole point of this bundle is to eat fresh. Snap peas and cherry tomatoes are best eaten right off the plant.

Pick cucumbers, beans, and melons as soon as they reach full size.

🧺 Storing Your Harvest

When in doubt, eat it now. Most crops in this bundle are best enjoyed immediately.

For anything you can't finish, leafy greens and snap peas refrigerate well for a few days.

Keep tomatoes and melons at room temperature.

📱 For detailed growing information for each crop in this bundle, scan the QR code on your seed packet or visit each product's page and select the What's Inside tab.

San Marzano Tomatoes

This was my first time growing tomatoes and these grew well. The growing guide was really helpful. Making sauce with my own tomatoes felt like a big deal.
