The Cool Weather Bundle is a collection of crops that love the fresh, crisp temperatures of spring and fall — the perfect way to make the most of your garden before the heat arrives or after it fades.

This bundle is packed with leafy greens, root vegetables, and brassicas like arugula, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, spinach, and radishes that grow quickly and happily in cooler conditions.

Don't let your garden sit empty in the shoulder seasons. This bundle keeps your harvest going strong when the weather is on your side.

Cool Weather Seed Bundle Growing Guide

Bella Garden Seeds Growing guides are based on details provided by our botanist to answer your questions and set you up for success. If you have additional questions, email us at hello@bellagardenseeds.com to get the help you need.

🌱 Getting Started

This bundle is built for the cooler temperatures of spring and fall. Plant outdoors as soon as the ground can be worked in spring, or 6–8 weeks before your first fall frost. These crops thrive when daytime temperatures are between 45–70°F and slow down in summer heat.

☀️ Sun Requirements

Most cool-season crops prefer full sun but can tolerate partial shade — which also helps extend their season in warmer months. Aim for at least 4–6 hours of sunlight per day.

💧 Watering

Keep soil evenly moist throughout the growing season. Cool weather naturally reduces water loss, so check soil every 2–3 days and water when the top inch feels dry. Consistent moisture produces tender, mild-flavored vegetables.

✂️ Harvesting

Cool-season crops are best harvested before temperatures climb. Leafy greens, radishes, and peas should be picked young and often. Broccoli and cauliflower are ready when heads are firm and tight — before they begin to open or flower.

🧺 Storing Your Harvest

Most crops in this bundle refrigerate well. Leafy greens keep 3–5 days, root vegetables keep for several weeks in a cool dry place, and brassicas like broccoli and cabbage store well in the refrigerator for up to a week.

San Marzano Tomatoes

This was my first time growing tomatoes and these grew well. The growing guide was really helpful. Making sauce with my own tomatoes felt like a big deal.
